KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Allison Byars (Fayetteville, AR/Fayetteville) has earned a prestigious distinction in her basketball career, as she has been inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame's Ring of Honor in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The Ring of Honor, which currently features over 100 jerseys hanging from the rafters, celebrates the achievements of women who have made a lasting impact on the sport at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels. Byars' jersey now joins those of some of the most accomplished names in women's basketball history, including Candace Parker, Kelsey Plum, Sue Bird, Breanna Stewart, and A'ja Wilson; serving as both an inspiration and a backdrop to the Hall's archives that preserve the stories of the game's greatest contributors.

Byars' inclusion in the Ring of Honor fulfills the Hall of Fame's mission to "honor the past, celebrate the present, and promote the future" of women's basketball.

A native of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Byars earned national recognition for her outstanding 2023-24 season with Lyon College, where she was named a USCAA First Team All-American and selected to the SLIAC Second Team All-Conference. She helped lead the Scots to a 16-11 record and a runner-up finish in the USCAA Division I National Championship, marking one of the program's most successful seasons in recent years.

Byars' induction into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame's Ring of Honor places her among an elite group of athletes whose contributions have shaped the sport's history and stand as an inspiration for future generations of student-athletes to follow.
