LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Missouri S&T's athletic program finished in the top 100 of the Learfield Director's Cup series for the first time since 2008 as the S&T program ended up 83^rd for the 2023-24 season.  The final standings were released in conjunction with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics Convention.

Missouri S&T scored points in women's volleyball in the fall, men's swimming & diving in the winter season and in three sports in the spring campaign, as Miner teams competed at championship events in men's outdoor track & field, men's golf and softball.

S&T also scored at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, but only the higher score between the indoor and outdoor seasons is counted towards the overall point total.

The Miners were seventh among the teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, as Indianapolis finished second overall to lead the conference contingent.  Lewis was 20^th in the final standings, followed by McKendree in 43^rd place, Maryville in 52^nd, Missouri-St. Louis in 77^th and Drury in 80^th. 

The next closest GLVC team to S&T in the final standings was Upper Iowa in 156^th place out of the 251 schools that took part in at least one NCAA championship event in the past year.

Missouri S&T's final place was the best since 2007-08 when it finished in 70^th place in the standings.  It is also the third-best performance ever for the S&T program in a single athletic season, as the Miners finished 78^th in the inaugural Learfield Director's Cup standings following the 1995-96 season.

It is the second straight season and eighth time in history where Missouri S&T finished among the top 100 schools in the standings.

Grand Valley State captured the overall championship with 983 points, while UIndy accumulated 901.25 points to finish as the runner-up.  The top five was rounded out by West Texas A&M, Wingate and Tampa.
