LEXINGTON, Ky. – Missouri S&T's golf team completed another high finish in a tournament Sunday as it finished second at the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational and a pair of finishers among the top 12 on an individual basis.

The Miners shot a four-over-par 292 on Sunday, but was able to move up one spot in the team standings to finish second to Indianapolis in the two-day event.  The Greyhounds finished 11 shots ahead of S&T with a score of 564 to the Miners' 575.

Individually, S&T was paced by Cole Komyati (Elberta, AL/Bayside Academy) – playing as an individual in the event – as he ended up in a tie for fourth with a six-under-par score of 138.  He had four birdies during the second round as he went on to shoot a 70 on the day.

S&T also had Connor Benjamin (Nelson Bay, Australia/St. Philip's Christian College) in a tie for 11th overall with a one-under mark of 143, while Carl Miltun (Gilbert, AZ/Williams Field) shot a one-under 71 on the day to finish at even par overall at 144, which was good for a tie for 13th.  Miltun, like Komyati, recorded four birdies during the second round.

Aside from that trio, Jeppe Thybo (Esbjerg, Denmark/Rybners Gymnasium) and Isaac To (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia/Real International School) each finished with a two-over score of 146, while Nicolas Estrada (Zaragoza, Spain/IES Valdespartera) finished at four-over-par at 148, Carter Schmitt (Baton Rouge, LA/Catholic) finished with a 151 and Joey Friedel (St. Peters, MO/Fort Zumwalt South) recorded a final score of 158 in the tournament.

UIndy's Ben Keil was the tournament medalist with a final score of 134.

The Miners will return to Kentucky for their next tournament, which will be the Findlay Invitational in Richmond, Ky., on March 25 and 26.
