GENEVA, Ohio – Missouri S&T's swimming team added two more All-America performances on the final day of the NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships, leading the Miners to a final finish of 12th in the team standings.

The Miners' highest finish Saturday came from Connor Bichsel (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit West), who won another consolation final for a ninth place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:56.91.  Noah Clancy (Alton, IL/Alton) also scored in the event as he placed in a tie for 12th in 1:58.55.

Adam Wiedemeier (West Monroe, LA/West Monroe) and Aidan Walters (Olathe, KS/Olathe East) both fell short of qualifying for the evening session on an individual basis Saturday, as Wiedemeier had a time of 43.82 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle and Walters posted a 1:46.48 in the 200-yard backstroke; both finished 18th in their respective events.

The Miners were 0.01 seconds short of finishing among the top 16 in the 400-yard freestyle relay, where the team of Walters, Clancy, Bichsel and Wiedemeier finished in 2:58.15, right behind St. Cloud State's team that got the last scoring spot in 2:58.14.

Missouri S&T finished the meet with 133 points, one behind 11th place Oklahoma Christian and 16 ahead of Florida Southern.  Tampa captured the national championship with 473 points and was followed by a trio of Great Lakes Valley Conference teams as Drury, Indianapolis and McKendree took the next three positions in that order.  The GLVC had five of the top 12 teams in the standings as Lewis finished in ninth place, while no other conference had more than one team among the top dozen.
