ROLLA, Mo. -- Missouri S&T won their third game in a row today with a 120-62 victory over Central Christian College of the Bible. The team's 120 points ties the school's fifth highest scoring game ever.
The Miners spread the ball around early, with all five starters scoring in the opening three minutes as S&T took a 14-0 lead. Two minutes later the Miners would begin a 13-0 scoring with, with seven of those points coming off of turnovers. S&T would continue to rack up the points, finishing the half with a 67-26 lead. The Saints found some rhythm in the second half, shooting 46.9% from the floor after a 28.1% first half. Freshman
Dwayne Foley (St. Louis, MO/Ladue) had a strong second half, recording 8 points, 3 rebounds, and an assist in the final 13 minutes of the game, helping the Miners push their lead to as many as 60 points.
Zac Brown (Collinsville, OK/Collinsville) led the team in points and recorded his first career double-double in the game, going for 17 points and 13 rebounds. Sroka maintained his 16 points per game average, putting up another 16 while going 6-of-7 from the field with a trio of three-pointers. Five other Miners scored in double digits, with
Lovell Williams (Rogers, MN/Maple Grove) putting up a strong stat-line of 11 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds, and 7 steals.
What's Next
The Miners will enjoy a bye during Thanksgiving week before beginning conference-play the first week of December with home games against Lincoln, Upper Iowa, and Quincy... starting with the Blue Tigers on Monday, December 2nd.
