ROLLA, Mo. -- Missouri S&T Men's Basketball received three honorees on this year's College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.
Blaise Beauchamp (Minnetonka, MN/Hopkins),
Zac Brown (Collinsville, OK/Collinsville), and
Andrew Young (Ballwin, MO/Marquette) all earned the honor that represents their achievements both on and off the courts. Academic All-District honorees must be at least a sophomore and maintain a cumulative GPA above 3.5 while competing in 90% or starting in 66% of their team's games for the season.
Beauchamp was one of only two Miners to play and start in all 28 games this season and led the team and ranked 5th in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) contest for scoring in conference games with a 17.9 average. He also earned Second Team All-GLVC honors.
Young has earned numerous accolades this year, including First Team All-GLVC, Second Team All-Region from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association and Second Team All-Region from the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He played and started in 27 games this season, leading the team in scoring and rebounding with 17 PPG and 6.7 RPG, ranking 7th in the conference for the former.
Brown played in 27 games this year, earning the start in 17 of them. He recorded the second-most blocks on the team with 17 and averaged 5.6 points per game with 4.0 rebounds per game.
