ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Women's Volleyball is on the road this weekend for a pair of GLVC matches and their last non-conference match of 2024.
Match 1: Missouri S&T (8-13, 4-4 GLVC) vs. Flagler (9-9, 4-2 PBC) Nov. 1 at 1 p.m.
The Saints go into the weekend at 9-9 overall with a 4-2 record in the Peach Belt. They are on a four-match win streak with two straight winning weekends. They will take on the Lewis Flyers on Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. prior to their match against the Miners.
Jordan Berglin leads the team with 3.04 kills per set and 204 total kills this season. Libero Lexi Basler has collected 3.74 digs per set to lead the team and Molly Boyd has 67 total blocks this season. These two teams have never matched up in their history.
Match 2: Missouri S&T (8-13, 4-4 GLVC) at Lewis (15-7, 6-1 GLVC) Nov. 1 at 6 p.m.
Lewis come into this matchup with only one loss in the Great Lakes Valley Conference this season. That loss was at Missouri-St. Louis on Oct. 11. They are on a three-match winning streak with their most recent win at Indianapolis on Oct. 26, a 3-0 sweep. Lewis won the GLVC Tournament last season after their championship win over UMSL 3-0.
Bella Ray leads the Flyers with her 2.85 kills per set and is second in the conference with 1.29 blocks per set. Ally Hickey is first in the GLVC and seventh in all of D-II in digs per set at 5.83. In their all-time matchup, Lewis leads 16-5 with a 4-1 record at home.
Match 3: Missouri S&T (8-13, 4-4 GLVC) at Indianapolis (14-8, 4-3 GLVC) Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. CT
The Greyhounds were 14-2 this season until a six-match losing skid set them back to 14-8 and 4-3 in the GLVC. After their three losses at the Midwest Region Crossover, they fell to Lewis last weekend 0-3. In Rolla in 2023, Indianapolis fell to S&T 0-3 on Oct. 27.
Sophia Parlanti is seventh in the conference in kills per set at 3.78. Setter Claire Morris is third in the GLVC in assists per set at 10.38. Elle Spange is fifth in the conference in digs per set at 4.64. Indianapolis is 13-7 all-time versus S&T with a 9-3 home record.
About the Miners
S&T is coming off their biggest win of the season against #14 UMSL last weekend. They also defeated McKendree over the weekend as they head east on a four-match winning streak. They sit in eighth in the GLVC, one spot behind Indianapolis. Lewis is in second place behind Quincy.
Alina Carrillo (Oviedo, FL/Hagerty) currently leads the Miners with 3.73 kills per set and 302 total kills. She also has recorded 281 digs for 3.47 digs per set.
Isabelle Monaco (O'Fallon, MO/Living Word Christian) leads the team with 3.57 digs per set and is second in 2.83 kills per set.
Madison Smith (Boonville, MO/Boonville) is third in the GLVC in blocks per set at 1.26.
What's Next
This weekend is the last regular season road trip for S&T as they will welcome Maryville on Nov. 9. Following that weekend, they will play Truman State on Nov. 15 and Upper Iowa on Nov. 16 at home.
