ROLLA, Mo. – Coming off a win over the leader in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, Missouri S&T's women's basketball team will play a pair of conference matches at Gibson Arena in the upcoming week – including one against the team that took over first place thanks to S&T's win on Saturday.

The Miners, winners of three of their last four games, will host Indianapolis Thursday at 5:30 p.m. game, then take on the new leader in the conference standings – Lewis – in a 1 p.m. contest on Saturday.  S&T comes into the week with a record of 6-15 overall and 3-10 in the GLVC after its 76-69 win Saturday at McKendree, where it shot 67.9 percent in the second half to pick up the victory.

Katelynne Roberts (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville), who ranks among the GLVC leaders in four categories, led the Miners with 22 points as she extended her run of double figure games to 20 and her seasonal scoring average to 17.6 points per game, which ranks third in the league.  She is also second in field goal percentage with a mark at 57.3 percent, while sitting third in rebounding with 7.9 per game and in blocked shots with 36 (1.5 per game).

Roberts is S&T's lone double figure scorer on the season, but the Miners are getting 8.6 points per game from Eryn Puett (Columbia, MO/Rock Bridge), 7.9 from Bonnie Lew Ludlow (Indianapolis, IN/Covenant Christian) and 7.6 from Addyson Kent (North Vernon, IN/Jennings County), who had 14 points in Saturday's win with four three-pointers along the way.  Kent is currently third in the GLVC with 47 three-point baskets and also leads S&T with 26 steals.  Franchesca Metz (Downers Grove, IL/Nazareth Academy), who is scoring 7.4 points per contest, has a team-high 49 assists.

ABOUT INDIANAPOLIS: The Greyhounds come into Thursday's game right at the .500 mark both overall and in the GLVC – 9-9 and 6-6 in conference play – and have dropped their last two games to two of the top three teams in the GLVC.  UIndy fell 79-64 Saturday at Lewis after losing an overtime decision to McKendree a week earlier; it got 20 points from Jada Patton on Saturday but made only 37.7 percent of their shots against the Flyers.

Elena Wells leads the Greyhounds with an average of 16.1 points per game, the 10th-best mark in the GLVC, while Liv Becker is averaging 14.1 points per contest.  Patricia Chikamba is the team's top rebounder with 7.6 per game and had a 22-point, 17-rebound game against S&T when the Greyhounds beat the Miners 72-61 at UIndy on Nov. 27.  Wells also leads the Greyhounds with 77 assists, while Patton has 19 steals to lead in that department.

ABOUT LEWIS: The Flyers took over first place in the GLVC thanks to their win over UIndy coupled with the Miners' win over McKendree.  Lewis comes into its game Thursday at Maryville at 11-7 overall and 10-2 in the GLVC. Kathryn Schmidt led four players in double figures for the Flyers with 21 points in Saturday's win, while Taylor Gugliuzza finished with 19.
