FINDLAY, Ohio – Missouri S&T's golf team closed play Tuesday at the Doc Spragg Invitational with a 10
th place finish as the Miners recorded a five-over-par 293 in the third round of action.
S&T's top finisher was
Carl Miltun (Gilbert, AZ/Williams Field), who ended up in a tie for 22
nd place with an even-par score of 216 in the 54-hole event, while
Isaac To (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia/Real International School) – who had the best mark for S&T Tuesday with a four-under 68 – was tied for 27
th place at 217. Miltun had an eagle on the 15
th hole Tuesday, while To had four birdies and pars the rest of the way in his third round of play.
Carter Schmitt (Baton Rouge, LA/Catholic) had a final score of 222, while
Jeppe Thybo (Esbjerg, Denmark/Rybners Gymnasium) finished at 227 and
Nicolas Estrada (Zaragoza, Spain/IES Valdespartera) finished at 231 in the event that featured 90 players.
Missouri S&T will compete in one more fall event, as it will take part in the Panther Invitational in Owensboro, Ky., on Oct. 28 and 29.
