ROLLA, Mo. - The Missouri S&T women's basketball team continues its four-game homestand with matchups against second-ranked Drury on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and Southwest Baptist on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Gibson Arena.
The Miners (11-10, 7-6 GLVC) enter this GLVC matchup coming off a 79-68 victory over William Jewell on Saturday as three Miners finished in double figures, led by
Alex Kerr (St. Louis, MO/St. Joseph's Academy) with 22 points and a team-high 14 rebounds for her 11th double-double of the season.
Laura Rodriguez (Gran Canaria, Spain/Baloncesto Torrelodones) contributed 20 points while shooting three-of-seven from behind the arc – moving past Jennifer Cordes into fourth place on the all-time scoring list at S&T in the process – while
Anna Finley (Owensville, MO/Owensville) finished with 10 points. On the defensive side, Kerr and
Michaela Davis (Keokuk, Iowa/Keokuk) led S&T with three steals each as Kerr and
Kristen Keys (St. Louis, MO/Westminster Christian Academy) each recorded a blocked shot.
Individually, Kerr leads S&T in scoring and rebounding as she is averaging 15.4 points and 9.9 rebounds per contest and her blocked 28 shots leads the GLVC. Her scoring average currently ranks eighth in the GLVC and she is first in the conference in rebounding.
Laura Rodriguez (Gran Canaria, Spain/Baloncesto Torrelodones), who continues to etch her name in the S&T record books, ranks second on the team averaging 13.5 points per game while shooting 41.2 percent from the field and 88 percent from the free-throw line. As a team, S&T ranks second in the GLVC in rebounding with an average of 38.9 per game and third with 57 blocked shots while holding their opponents to 40 percent shooting from the field.
ABOUT DRURY:
The Lady Panthers (20-1, 13-0 GLVC) enter this matchup coming off a 13-point win over Rockhurst last Saturday, as four players ended in double figures led by Kaylee DaMitz-Holt with 20 points. Alana Findley contributed 18 points while Terrion Moore and Reese Schaaf added 10 apiece, as Moore also recorded three blocks as Schaaf hauled down a team-high seven rebounds.
This season, Drury currently has three players averaging double-figures in scoring, led by DaMitz-Holt averaging 17.6 points per game while making a team-high 39 three-point baskets as she is shooting 46 percent from the field. Findley is averaging 14.2 points per game while averaging a team-high 5.5 rebounds per game and shooting nearly 50 percent from the field, while Moore is scoring 12 points per game and leads Drury with 18 blocks.
As a team, the Lady Panthers rank first in the GLVC averaging 82.6 points per game and are holding their opponents to an average of 61 points per game. On defense, Drury ranks first in the GLVC averaging 12.1 steals per game.

The Bearcats (10-10, 4-8 GLVC) will face Missouri-St. Louis this Thursday before traveling to Gibson Arena Saturday afternoon. Back on Nov. 26, in the first matchup of the season, the Miners traveled to Bolivar and left with a 76-54 victory as
Alex Kerr (St. Louis, MO/St. Joseph's Academy) led the way with 18 points and 10 rebounds and
Laura Rodriguez (Gran Canaria, Spain/Baloncesto Torrelodones) added 16 points. The Bearcats were led by Leikyn Walker with 13 points while Victoria Hamilton added 10 points.
In SBU's previous GLVC match, the Bearcats led at halftime, but were defeated by second-ranked Drury 80-54 as Kelsey Blakemore led the way with 21 points. Hamilton added 18 points and also secured nine rebounds.
Blakemore leads the Bearcats in scoring with an average of 10.6 points per game while dishing out a team high 57 assists and adding 35 steals. Hamilton is second in scoring averaging 9.4 points per game while leading SBU in rebounding with 6.7 per game. As a team, SBU ranks second in the GLVC in scoring defense as it is holding its opponents to an average of 62.5 points per game and to under 40 percent shooting from the field.
