HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – Back in action for the final round of the Natural State Golf Classic Tuesday at the Red Apple Inn and Country Club, the Missouri S&T golf team looked to continue their strong play from Monday and keep good momentum going following last week's win. The Miners backed up that performance with a third place showing, turning in a 36-hole performance of 568 (288-280) for their second top-five finish of the season.

Carl Miltun (Gilbert, AZ/Williams Field) (69-70=139) was in contention for medalist honors again this week, but came up just short as he finished fifth despite recording a trio of birdies and just two holes over par during his second round.

Colin Stolze (St. Louis, MO/Chaminade College Preparatory) (72-70=142) finished T9 and even-par for the event after carding a round that saw three birdies and just one hole over par en route to a -1 70.

Gustav Liljedahl (Uppsala, Sweden/Celsiusskolan) (74-69=143) was on fire Tuesday and recorded five birdies in his second round along with 10 holes at par to shave five strokes off his score from round one to finish just outside the top 10 at T12..

Fatt Hoe Yong (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia/SMK Seri Bintang Utara) (73-71=144) recorded his best finish of the season at T17 and also recorded five birdies in his second round to shoot even par on day two.

Jeppe Thybo (Esbjerg, Denmark/Rybners Gymnasium) (74-72=146) rounded out the S&T team contingent, recording three birdies and an eagle on the 490-yard par-5 11th over the course of his day to come home T20.

Nihal Shah (London, England/Culford School) (81-76=157) finished just outside the top 50 in T53 and eagled the 356-yard par-4 15th early in his round.

Henderson State (281-271=552) took home the top spot, following by Harding's A team (287-269=556). Missouri Southern (298-282=580) and Southern Arkansas (295-289=584) traded places on the scoreboard Tuesday to round out the top five.

Up next for S&T, they'll head to Warrensburg next week for their final tune-up at The Mule hosted by Central Missouri before the GLVC Championships.
