ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Missouri S&T men's golf team was back on the course at the Missouri Bluff Golf Club for the first two rounds of the Lindenwood Invitational. In a field full of GLVC competition, the Miners (294-296=590) carded some of the lowest team scores over the first 36 holes of action, and trail only the host Lions' A team (297-291=588) after the first day of competition.
 
Carl Miltun (Gilbert, AZ/Williams Field) (69-75=144) led the way for S&T and sits T4 on the individual leaderboard through two rounds after being as high as second over the course of the day.
 
Gustav Liljedahl (Uppsala, Sweden/Celsiusskolan) (72-77=149) spent time in the top 10 in the first round but ran into some challenges in round two and sits in the top 20 after day one at T15 overall.
 
Jeppe Thybo (Esbjerg, Denmark/Rybners Gymnasium) (79-72=151) shaved seven strokes from his ledger from round one to round two and is just outside the top 20 at T21.
 
Colin Stolze (St. Louis, MO/Chaminade College Preparatory) (80-72=152) rebounded from a challenging start to the day and also improved his score over the afternoon and sits T27 overall.
 
Fatt Hoe Yong (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia/SMK Seri Bintang Utara) (74-78=152) lost some ground in the day's second round and joins Stolze at T27 on the leaderboard.
 
Nihal Shah (London, England/Culford School) (82-76=158), who is competing as an individual at this event, posted a six shot improvement from round one to round two and is currently T54 heading into the final round.
 
Rounding out the top five are Maryville (301-293=594) in third, along with Drury (297-298=595) and Iowa Western CC (293-302=595) who are tied for fourth.
 
Final round action will commence Tuesday morning.
