SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The S&T women's basketball team continued its Great Lakes Valley Conference road slate with a 65-36 loss at seventh-ranked Drury University Monday evening in O'Reilly Family Events Center.

Drury (5-1, 1-0 GLVC), the six-time GLVC champions, came out by making four of its first six shots for a quick 10-2 run that ended on a
Alex Kerr (St. Louis, MO/St. Joseph's Academy) layup. However, Terrion Moore responded with back-to-back layups to increase the Panther lead to 12. S&T would, however, finish the quarter on a 6-2 run that cut the deficit to eight after 10 minutes of play.

But in the second quarter, the Miners were held scoreless from the field as they scored all nine of their points in the period from the free throw line. The Lady Panthers broke the game open with a 7-0 run that started on a Anna Mitt jumper that increased the lead to 13; Drury would hold a 39-18 advantage at the half.

The Lady Panthers came out in the second half by making their first five shots; eventually increasing the deficit to 29 midway through the quarter before a basket by
Katelynne Roberts (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) at the 6:29 mark stopped that run. Â S&T did finish the quarter on a 7-3 run, to cut the deficit to 28 heading into the final quarter.

For the game,
Alex Kerr (St. Louis, MO/St. Joseph's Academy) led all S&T players with 11 points while bringing down 10 rebounds for her 24th-career double-double and also added a season-high five blocks. Â Kerr's 10 rebounds also moved her into second place on the Miners' all-time list as she passed the 750-rebound plateau during the course of the contest.
Michaela Davis (Keokuk, Iowa/Keokuk) contributed 10 points while going eight-of-nine from the free-throw line and
Chorus Davis (Kansas City, MO/Lincoln College Prep) finished with a career-high seven points.Â
As a team, the Miners shot just eight-of-51 from the field and made only one of their 10 three-point attempts. The Miners did block eight shots in the game and outrebounded Drury by a 48-42 margin.

Opponents Leaders:
The Lady Panthers (5-1, 1-0) were led by Alana Findley with 14 points, while Terrion Moore finished with 12 points and Kaylee DaMitz-Holt chipped in 10 points. Mia Henderson, Moore and Findley each hauled down six rebounds in the contest.  For the game, the Panthers shot 38.5 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from three-point land, while Â
outscoring the Miners bench 22-11 and scored 19 points off S&T turnovers.
