Women's Basketball Adds Three New Faces for 2020-2021 Season

ROLLA, MO- Newly appointed head coach, Kira Carter, has added three new faces for the 2020-2021 season in Jada Lindesmith (St. Peters, MO/Lutheran), Eryn Puett (Columbia, MO/Rock Bridge), and Shanice Uwase.

Lindesmith, a native of Liberty Township, Ohio, comes to Missouri S&T from Lutheran High School in St. Charles, MO, lead the Cougars to a 23-5 overall record and a trip to the Missouri State Class 3 Quarterfinals while averaging 11.4 points/game, 2.6 rebounds/game, 2.7 assists/game, and shooting just over 43% from the field in the 2019-2020 season.

While at S&T, Lindesmith plans to study Business Marketing with an emphasis in Graphic Design.

Puett, a native of Columbia, Mo., comes to Missouri S&T after a successful prep career at Rock Bridge High School where she was a 2x All-State performer and named the Class 5 District 9 MVP. This past season, Puett helped the Bruins to a Final Four run and a 22-5 overall record while averaging 14.8 points/game, 4.7 rebounds/game, 85% from the free-throw line, just under 43% from behind the arc, and shooting 53.6% from the field.

While at S&T, Puett plans to major in Business.

Uwase, a native from Portland, Ore., comes to Missouri S&T from Labette Community College where she averaged 4.9 points/game, 1.2 rebounds/game, and shot 31.6% from behind the arc in her freshman season. Uwase helped the Cardinals to a 25-4 record in the 2019-2020 season that saw the team win the Region VI Championship and earn a bid to the NJCAA Division II Championship.

While at S&T, Uwase plans to study Technical Communications.
