ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's swimming team has again earned honors for its work in the classroom as the Miners were among 44 teams named by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America as the recipient of a team academic award for the 2019 fall semester.

The team awards are given to squads that post at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average over the course of a semester.  The Miners were among nine Great Lakes Valley Conference teams to make the list out of the 44 programs named in NCAA Division II.

Missouri S&T finished with a team grade point average of 3.33 in the fall semester, the second-highest among the nine GLVC schools named.

S&T's next competition will take place at the GLVC Championships, which begins Feb. 12 in Crawfordsville, Ind.  The Miners have 12 individuals who have met at least a provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA Division II Championships that will take place in March in Geneva, Ohio.
