ROLLA, MO- The Miners (6-6, 2-3 GLVC) will play in Gibson Arena for the first time this decade when they come home to take on the Bearcats of Southwest Baptist on Thursday night and the top-ranked Panthers of Drury University on Saturday afternoon.

S&T is coming off a much needed win over the Hawks of Quincy University that snapped their three game losing skid. Jordan Kabetske (Republic, Mo./Republic) had a monster game for the Miners, getting 15 of her team-high 19 points from the charity stripe.

After taking a 21-11 lead through the first quarter, S&T would slowly build their lead to as much as 22 throughout the game. Quincy didn't go down without a fight, cutting the Miners lead to as much as 10 in the fourth quarter. But, the offensive push of Kabetske, Maddie Raley (Haubstadt, Ind./Gibson Southern), Mykala Baylor (South Bend, Ind./Clay), and Marta Durk (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) helped Missouri S&T to secure the 91-76 win.

For the season, Mykala Baylor (South Bend, Ind./Clay) leads the team with 12.8 points and 11.0 rebounds/game while fellow post player Alex Kerr (St. Louis, Mo./St. Joseph's Academy) is chipping in 10.9 points. Senior Maddie Raley (Haubstadt, Ind./Gibson Southern), who is just 79 points away from breaking 1,000 career points, is averaging a team second-best 11.4 points while shooting a hot 40% from behind the arc.

About Southwest Baptist:
The Bearcats (8-5, 2-3 GLVC) are coming into this weekend's match-ups off a thrilling 80-68 overtime win over the Tritons of Missouri-St. Louis after dropping consecutive GLVC games prior.

After finding themselves tied at 68 at the end of regulation, the Bearcats offense exploded in the five minutes of overtime. SBU got three consecutive three-pointers from Alexus Johnson and Kyleigh Vaught and free-throws from Zaharia White and Bailey Rezabek to put them ahead six with less than two minutes remaining. Six more free-throws from Southwest Baptist and lockdown defense secured them the 80-68 win.

Three of the Bearcats five starters reached double figures in scoring; Bailey Rezabek led the way with 27 points while going 8-10 from the charity stripe while Zahria White and Kyleigh Vaught chipped in 14 and 13, respectively. Alexus Johnson came off the bench to chip in 15 points.

For the season, Bailey rezabek leads the team with 19.3 points/game while Kyleigh Vaught is adding in 10.3 points and dishing out a team best 4.3 assists per contest. Regan Tibbits has been the leading force for the Bearcats on the glass, grabbing a team best 80 rebounds in the first 13 games.

The Miners and Bearcats are no strangers to each other; the first game between the two schools dating back as far at the 1974-1975 season. While S&T has had success over SBU in the past, the Bearcats have won the last 17 match-ups.

The last time the two teams met was back in 2016 when Southwest Baptist used a 28-9 third quarter to overpower the Miners and take the 79-43 win.

About Drury:
The Panthers (14-0, 5-0 GLVC) are just one of five remaining teams to not record a loss this season and are showing no signs of slowing down. They picked up their fourth and fifth GLVC wins this past weekend over Missouri-St. Louis and Lindenwood.

In their win over Lindenwood, DU opened up shop against the Lions in the first half, gaining a 51-32 lead just before halftime. While the Panthers would extend their lead out to as much as 24 to begin the third quarter, LWU finally found their groove and cut their deficit to 13 with 1:40 left in the third after Lindsay Medlen sank a free-throw off a fast-break.

While the Lions kept pressuring the Panthers, Drury's dominant first half would prove to be their safety net to collect the 98-84 win over Lindenwood.

Hailey Diestelkamp had a noteworthy performance for the Panthers on Saturday, scoring 37 points on 17-24 shooting and pulling down a game best 10 rebounds.

For the season, Diestelkamp and Paige Robinson have led the way for the Panthers with 17.3 and 12.3 points/game, respectively. As a team, Drury as forced 425 turnovers through their first 14 games and are holding their opponents to just under 60 points/game.

Historically, the Miners have not seen great success over the Panthers; their last win over Drury coming back in the 2012-2013 season when they grabbed a 66-63 win in Springfield.

DU holds the last 13 matchups between the two teams while taking the 104-70 win when they two last met. A 39-point third quarter helped the Panthers to gain a large lead to secure their win.
While the Miners did not get the win, five players (Maddie Raley (Haubstadt, Ind./Gibson Southern), Jordan Kabetske (Republic, Mo./Republic), Laura Rodriguez (Gran Canaria, Spain/Baloncesto Torrelodones), Mykala Baylor (South Bend, Ind./Clay), and Alex Kerr (St. Louis, Mo./St. Joseph's Academy)) recorded double-digit scoring.

Drury will play against the Saints of Maryville University on Thursday night before facing off against the Miners on Saturday.
