ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T has been selected again as a recipient of academic honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, as its swimming team received a team Scholar All-America award for the 2018 fall semester.
The team awards are given to squads that post at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average over the course of a semester. The Miners were among seven teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference to make the list along as a total of 43 programs at the NCAA Division II level were honored.
Missouri S&T finished with a team grade point average of 3.28 in the fall semester.
S&T will compete next at the NCAA Division II Championships, which begin on March 13 in Indianapolis. The Miners have 13 individuals who have met a provisional qualifying standard either individually or as part of a relay for the meet; the field will be announced on Feb. 27.
