ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's swimming team continues to earn honors for its work in the classroom, as the Miners were among 43 teams named by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America as the recipient of a team academic award for the 2018 fall semester.
The team awards are given to squads that post at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average over the course of a semester. The Miners were among seven teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference to make the list out of the 43 programs named in NCAA Division II.
Missouri S&T finished with a team grade point average of 3.xx in the fall semester.
S&T will compete next at the GLVC Championships, which begins Feb. 6 in Crawfordsville, Ind. The Miners have seven individuals who have met a provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA Division II Championships that will take place in March in Indianapolis.
