Rolla, Mo. – The Missouri S&T Lady Miners close out the regular season hosting eighth ranked Drury on Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m. at the Bullman Multi-Purpose Building. The Lady Miners (10-15, 5-12 GLVC) look to close out the season with a win while the Lady Panthers (24-3, 16-1 GLVC) look to lock up the number one seed in the GLVC Tournament.
In its last outing, S&T held a one-point lead at halftime against Maryville but struggled in third quarter shooting only 25 percent (3-for-12) from the floor while the Saints were 10-of-18 from the field. Ali Ringering dominated the second half for Maryville as she scored 17 of her career-high 26 points in the final 20 minutes.
Janie Arand (Washington, Mo./St. Francis Borgia) continues to lead the Lady Miners in scoring with 10.6 points per game while
Elsie Greenwood (Breckenridge, Mo./Penney High School) is adding 9.1 per contest and
Raetchel Gray (Allen, Okla./Byng ) is averaging 8.2 points a game.
Katey Brown (Craig, Neb./Guardian Angels Central Catholic) leads the team in rebounding with over five rebounds per game and Gray leads the team with 69 assists.
Drury enters Thursday's contest riding a four game winning streak, has won 15 of its last 16 and is ranked second in the NCAA-II Midwest Regional Rankings behind Ashland. The Lady Panthers lead the conference in three-point field goal percentage, three-point field goals made per game and are tied with Southern Indiana for first in points allowed per game at 59.5 per contest.
Heather Harman leads the club in scoring with 15.7 points per game and is joined in double figures by Briana Jones at 12.6 per contest, Paige Wilson is contributing 11.8 per game and Hailey Diestelkamp is dropping in 11.5 a game. Diestelkamp leads the team in rebounding with 8.6 per contest while Harman leads the team in assists with 113.
