S&T lands CSCAA Scholar All-America award for 2015 fall semester

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's swimming program is among among 26 schools in NCAA Division II as recipients of the team Scholar All-America award for the 2015 fall semester, as was announced today by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.

The team awards are given to squads that post at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average over the course of a semester.  The Miners were one of five in the Great Lakes Valley Conference to make the list along with the University of Indianapolis, Lewis University, Truman State University and William Jewell College.

Missouri S&T finished with a team grade point average of 3.15 for the fall semester, the seventh-highest in NCAA Division II.

The Miners' next competition will take place at the GLVC Championships, scheduled to begin Feb. 10 in Crawfordsville, Ind.  Missouri S&T is currently ranked 19th in the CSCAA rankings for NCAA Division II and has eight individuals who have met a provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA Division II Championships.
