ROLLA, Mo. – Once again, Mother Nature has forced a change in Missouri S&T's baseball schedule.
Due to the snow that fell in the Kansas City area on Thursday and with rain in the forecast over the next 48 hours, the Miners' final Great Lakes Valley Conference baseball series will now be played on Sunday and Monday at Rockhurst University. Sunday's doubleheader will get underway at 4 p.m., while Monday's twinbill will begin at 2 p.m. as Rockhurst will be in final examinations next week.
Missouri S&T enters the final weekend of conference play looking to lock up a spot in the GLVC Tournament for the third consecutive year. The Miners come into the series at 21-22 overall, 19-13 in GLVC play and sports a season-high six-game winning streak. The Hawks, 17-24 overall, were eliminated from contention for a tournament berth last week and are 12-20 in the GLVC.
If the Miners are able to secure a spot in the GLVC Tournament, the event will get underway on Thursday, May 9 in Evansville, Ind.
