12/6/2013 6:23:00 PM

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's men's basketball will take to the home court one last time in the 2013 calendar year this weekend, playing host to Webster University in a 3 p.m. contest Sunday afternoon at Billy Key Court.

The Miners, 3-4 on the year, was unable to dig out of a large hole early in Thursday's eventual 96-86 loss to third-ranked Drury in Springfield, Mo.   S&T cut 16 points off of a 25-point advantage held by the Panthers at the half, as it was plagued by a very slow start.

After scoring just eight points in the first 10 minutes of play, the Miners racked up 78 points over the final 30 minutes in their effort to come from behind.   Mudiaga Eruteya (Chicago, Ill./Notre Dame) and Bryce Foster (Florissant, Mo./Hazelwood Central) spearheaded the big second half, as Eruteya scored 19 of his career-high 27 points in the second half and Foster, S&T's leading scorer on the season with an average of 22.9 points a game, finished with 19.  Foster comes into play this weekend ranked third in the GLVC in scoring.

Eruteya is averaging 16.9 points a game and leads the Miners in assists with 34, while Nusrath Khan (Morton Grove, Ill./Maine East) is scoring 15.6 points per contest and is shooting over 47 percent from three-point range, as is freshman guard Danylo Zuikov (Kiev, Ukraine/LaLumiere School) – 10.5 points a game with a team-high 19 three-point baskets.

Webster, a member of the NCAA Division III St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, is 3-2 heading into a conference matchup Saturday against Fontbonne.  The Gorloks won their most recent game over Greenville 77-63 behind a 19-point, 11-rebound performance by sophomore post Kevin Miller.

Miller is close to averaging a double-double for the season with marks of 15.6 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.  He is getting assistance from Ahmad Smith, who is scoring 14.8 points a game and leads Webster with nine three-point field goals.

The Miners lead the all-time series 4-0, but this is the first meeting between the schools in exactly 21 years.
