ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's men's basketball team will seek to reach the holiday break with a record above .500 for the first time in three years Monday when it travels to St. Charles, Mo. to face Lindenwood University. Game time at Hyland Arena is at 7:30 p.m., as it was rescheduled from Saturday due to a winter storm that hit the region that morning.

The Miners are coming into Monday's contest with a 4-4 record and bring the sixth-best scoring offense in NCAA Division II into the game. Missouri S&T is averaging 96.6 points per game and has scored at least 100 points in four of its eight contests this year behind three double figure scorers.

Bryce Foster (Florissant, Mo./Hazelwood Central) ranks third in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and 18^th in NCAA Division II in the scoring department with an average of 22.8 points per game and is coming off posting the first triple-double in the history of the Miner basketball program on Sunday when he had 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in S&T's 95-79 win over Webster.

Mudiaga Eruteya (Chicago, Ill./Notre Dame), who had a double-double of his own Sunday with 22 points and a team-high 11 rebounds, is averaging 17.5 points per contest – good for tenth in the GLVC – and leads the Miners in assists with 40 and is tied with Foster for the team's rebounding lead with 7.6 a game. Neither Eruteya nor Foster played in last year's matchup with Lindenwood, which the Lions won 63-48 in Rolla for their first-ever win in the 10-game series between the schools.

Nusrath Khan (Morton Grove, Ill./Maine East) is the third double figure scorer for S&T with an average of 16 points a game and is shooting 55.6 percent from the field and 45.7 percent from three-point range, where he is tied with freshman Danylo Zuikov (Kiev, Ukraine/LaLumiere School) with 21 three-point baskets. Zuikov, a 47.7 percent shooter from beyond the arc, has played one fewer game than Khan and as a result of that, is tied for third in the conference with his three treys per game.

Lindenwood is also at the .500 mark heading into play this week, but the Lions will face Robert Morris-Springfield on Wednesday before the Miners' visit. The Lions fell to 5-5 after falling 83-74 Saturday to Northeastern State in their seventh consecutive game at Hyland Arena.

Tyler Ressel paces the Lions in the scoring column with an average of 14.7 points a game, while Darris Smith is scoring just over 14 points per contest. The Lions are averaging nearly 79 points per game, but have shot the ball well from long range as they are making 39.2 percent of their attempts from behind the three-point line.

The Miners and Lions mirror one another in getting to the free throw line often – S&T is seventh in Division II in free throw attempts while the Lions rank 14^th – and taking a multitude of three-point shots, as the Miners have attempted 22.4 per game which is 20^th nationally, while Lindenwood has attempted the 38^th most in Division II with 19.4.

Missouri S&T is the fourth GLVC team that Lindenwood will be facing this year; the Lions own 16-point wins over Quincy and Illinois Springfield and lost by 13 to Maryville. The Miners lost their only previous game to a team from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association when they fell 123-117 on Nov. 19 at Southwest Baptist.
