ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's swimming team is ranked eighth in NCAA Division II heading into its 2013 portion of the schedule – which will begin next weekend – in the national poll released by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
The Miners, who were ranked 16
th in the final ranking conducted last season, have won both dual meets that they have competed in this season and also won two of the three dual competitions in a quadrangular meet earlier in the year. During the first semester, the Miners also got six individuals automatically qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships that will take place in March during an invitational hosted by Delta State.
Missouri S&T's next competition is scheduled for Jan. 12 against fifth-ranked California-San Diego in San Diego, Calif.; the Miners' next home meet is slated for Jan. 18 against Southern Illinois University at the S&T Pool in the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building.
