                    Box Score (Rolla, Mo.) – The Missouri S&T Lady Miners shot a blistering 61 percent from the floor en route to a 
74-53 win over the Quincy Lady Hawks on Thursday night at the Bullman Multi-Purpose Building. S&T led from start to finish and handed Quincy its worst loss of the season and first loss in league play. With the win the Lady Miners (9-5, 5-1 GLVC) moved back into first place by a half-game over the Lady Hawks.
S&T hit 9 of its first 11 shots from the floor on its way to a 23-11 lead on a 3-pointer by 
Senait McLeod (Miami, Fla./Coral Reef) at the 11:35 mark. Quincy (6-7, 4-1 GLVC) closed the gap to eight by the 9:50 mark, but wouldn't get any closer the rest of the way.
The Lady Miners answered with six straight points pushing its lead to 31-17 with 5:37 left in the opening stanza. The Lady Hawks cut the margin to 11 on a 3-pointer from Carly Beebe just 0:30 later, but S&T countered with seven points in a two minute span to build a 38-20 lead. Quincy would cut the lead to 16, but the Lady Miners hit 3 of 4 at the foul line to build its largest lead of the half at 41-22 with 0:13 left in the frame.
S&T shot 60 percent (15-for-25) from the field, was 4-of-8 from three and 7-for-8 at the foul line. 
Kyesha Hall (Dodson, La./) had nine points to lead the way while 
Hailee Parks (Sullivan, Mo./Sullivan) dropped in eight.
The Lady Hawks were held to just 31 percent (8-of-26) shooting, 4-for-9 from three and hit both of their free throw attempts. Lucy Cramsey led all scorers with 10 points.
Quincy scored the first six points of the second stanza to cut the halftime lead to 13 points 2:30 into the frame. The Lady Miners pushed the lead back out to 17, but the Lady Hawks made another run scoring eight straight points to cut the lead to single digits at 48-39 with 12:33 left in the contest.
From that point it was all S&T as it scored 18 straight points to build its largest lead of the night at 66-39 on another 3-pointer from Knar. The game remained around 20 points the rest of the way.
Knar finished with 13 points leading three Lady Miners in double figures. Hall and Parks added 11 apiece. 
Katelyn Heil (Dexter, Mo./Dexter) added nine points and six assists while 
Karli Sample (St. Joseph, Mo./Benton) dropped in eight points. S&T shot 62 percent in the second half from the floor, made both of its 3-pointers and was 5-of-6 at the charity stripe.
Quincy shot 37 percent in the second half and finished the game shooting 18-for-53 (34 percent) from the floor. It was 6-of-17 from three and 9-for-14 at the foul line. Cramsey led all scorers with 14 points while Beebe added 12 more.
The Lady Miners are back at home on Saturday when they play host to Illinois Springfield beginning at 1 p.m.
