Biography
2011-12: Parks started all 27 games and lead the Lady Miners in scoring and rebounds for the second straight season...she averaged 13.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per contest...she is 64 points shy of 1,000 for her career and she's already eclipsed the 500 rebound plateau...she'd become only the sixth player in school history to have 1,000 points and 500 rebounds...she is also eighth in school history in free throws made with 242...she scored in double figures 20 times last season and had a career-high 26 points in the win at William Jewell on January 28...she scored 20 or more points four times...she had five double figure rebounding games as well with a season-high 12 in the regular season finale at Drury...she finished the season with five double-doubles...she made a career-high 12 free throws in the overtime win at Southern Indiana on January 5...she tied a career-high with 10 field goals made at William Jewell...she also matched her career-high of 14 rebounds against the Cardinals in that game as well...she shot 55.6 percent from the field and 78.3 percent from the charity stripe...she was a second team All-GLVC selection and was named the conference's player of the week for the week of December 5-11, 2011.
2010-11: Parks started all 28 games leading the Lady Miners in scoring with 11.4 points per game and was second in rebounding averaging 6.0 per contest...she was even better in conference action averaging 14.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per contest...Parks scored in double figures in 15 of the 18 conference games this season including a career-high 25 points in a 73-72 win at Indianapolis on January 13...she had four 20-point games last season and recorded four double-doubles...she matched her career-high in rebounds with 14 against Maryville. Also in that game against Maryville she made a career-high 10 field goals then matched it with 10 against Drury in the 80-72 victory...she scored in double figures 17 times last season and led the team in scoring in seven different games...was named the GLVC’s Player of the Week for the week of January 3-9...was a third team All-GLVC selection.
2009-10: Was the team’s fourth leading scorer and leading rebounder last season averaging 9.3 points and five rebounds per game...she scored in double figures 14 times including seven straight from December 29 thru January 14...scored a career-high 17 points against Southern Indiana on January 7th...pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds at Saint Joseph’s on January 14...had two double-doubles on the season against West Alabama (12/29) scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and at Saint Joseph’s (1/14) 16 points and 14 rebounds...made a career-high eight field goals against Wayne State (11/21)...shot 48 percent from the floor and 71 percent at the foul line...was named to the Lady Miner Classic All-Tournament averaging 10.5 points, three rebounds and shot 52.6 percent from the field.
High School: Parks, earned all-state honors in each of the last three seasons, helped lead her team to the Missouri Class 4 quarterfinal round where they were defeated by Dexter and current teammates Katelyn and Cathryn Heil...averaged 21 points, 11 rebounds and 1.5 assists last season en route to being named Four Rivers Conference Player of the Year...was a nominee for the 2009 McDonald’s All-American game ... in her junior year she averaged 17.7 points, nine rebounds and 1.8 assists per game at Sullivan, which reached the Missouri Class 4 sectional round. She shot 42.6 percent from the floor, nearly 30 percent from three-point range and 77.1 percent at the free throw line. She also had 43 steals and 22 blocked shots during the 2007-08 season. As a sophomore, Parks averaged 20.6 points and 10.5 rebounds per contest with 33 blocked shots and 39 steals. She has been named to the Four Rivers Conference all-league first team. all-district and all-area for four straight seasons. Finished her high school career at Sullivan as the leading scorer and rebounder in school history.
Personal: Daughter of Jimmy and Teri Parks...majoring in biological sciences with an emphasis in pre-medicine.
