ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Missouri S&T women's soccer fell to Maryville 1-0 Saturday on the road after the Saints scored in the 22nd minute and held off the Miners through the final whistle.
Maryville broke through at the 21:52 mark when the Saints were credited with a team goal, giving them a 1-0 advantage that held through halftime.
The Miners created opportunities to respond, recording three shots in the first half and five more after halftime.
Ella Kramer (Liberty, MO/Liberty North) led S&T with three shots, including one on goal, while
Carlye Bennett (St. Louis, MO/Saint Joseph's Academy) added a pair of shots with one on target.
Haylee Prime (Lewis Center, OH/Olentangy Orange) also recorded two shots, including one on goal.

Catie Riddle (Westland, MI/Churchill) kept the Miners within striking distance throughout the match, making seven saves on eight Maryville shots on goal.
Riddle made several key stops in the second half, including a save on a penalty kick by Maryville's Hailey Scheuer in the 89th minute.
The Miners finished with eight shots, three on goal, and six corner kicks, while Maryville recorded 14 shots, seven on goal, and four corner kicks.
What's Next
Missouri S&T will look to bounce back next week when they host Drury next Wednesday, Sept. 30. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
