Golf Places 6th at Chilly Ken Partridge Tournament

NOBLESVILLE, Ind.  --  Missouri S&T Men's Golf wrapped one of their coldest tournaments of the season yesterday, placing sixth out of eighteen teams at the Ken Partridge Invitational. Temperatures were dipped into the low 40s at the tournament, with winds gusting up to 34 miles per hour.

S&T had a difficult first round of the tournament, landing them at the back of the pack after a +27. The Miners rebounded in round 2, recording the fourth-best round out of all eighteen teams to move up the standings after shooting +3. The Miners led the field by five shots in the final round of competition, shooting -3 to land them in 6th place for the tournament with a +27.

Isaac To (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia/Real International School) recorded the highest finish for the Miners, tying for 26th overall with a +8. He led the Miner's push in the final round, shooting a -2 with five birdies to just three bogeys. Li Kasule (Stockholm, Sweden/Upplands-Brogymnasiet) ranked 32nd with a +9, with his best round coming in the second with a even score. Andy Su (Poole, England/Poole) and Cole Komyati (Elberta, AL/Bayside Academy) rounded out the Miners' top four performers, with both men shooting +10 and tying for 38th.

What's Next
The Miners will now turn their attention to the GLVC Championships which will take place on April 22-24 at the Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Indiana.
