INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Missouri S&T setter Grant Edmonds (Huntington Beach, CA/Edison) has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Setter of the Week for the fifth time this season, the conference announced Monday.
Edmonds directed the Miner offense to a split against Rockhurst, totaling 104 assists and averaging 10.4 assists per set across the two five-set matches. In addition to his playmaking, Edmonds contributed one kill, one service ace, 17 digs, and two blocks on the week.
In Thursday's match against Rockhurst, Edmonds recorded 49 assists and six digs while guiding the Miners to a .341 team hitting percentage. He followed that performance with 55 assists and 11 digs in Friday's five-set victory, helping Missouri S&T post a .350 team hitting percentage in the win.
Edmonds' performance helped the Miners produce two strong offensive outings while continuing to lead the GLVC in weekly setter honors this season.
