LEXINGTON, KY -- Missouri S&T Golf is making a change to their schedule this week, opting out of the Washburn Invite due to weather and instead heading to Lexington, Kentucky for the SVSU Spring Invitational. The SVSU Spring Invitational is a twelve-team tournament that will take place at the Kearney Hill Golf Links this Saturday and Sunday.
The Miners are coming off their second consecutive tournament title of the season, taking first at both the Sapona Intercollegiate last week and the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational back in October.
Isaac To (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia/Real International School) and Rizq Adam both rank in the top 10 individuals for the Midwest region, ranking 85th and 89th nationally, while
Cole Komyati (Elberta, AL/Bayside Academy) ranks 13th in the region.
Eleven of the twelve teams that will be at SVSU Spring Invitational are in the Midwest region, with the Miners the highest ranked of the teams at 41st overall and 4th in the region according to Scoreboard. SVSU Invitational opponents Findlay, Tiffin and Davenport all rank in the top ten of the Midwest region, as well as top 54 in the nation. To and Rohizam are the two highest ranked golfers at the invitational, followed by Findlay's Luke Metzger (ranked #97) and Davenport's Cayden Kwan (ranked #124).
What's Next
The Miners will return to Kentucky next weekend, heading to the Findlay Spring Invitational on March 23rd and 24th.
