LEXINGTON, Ky. – The best start in program history for the Missouri S&T men's volleyball team has given the Miners some national recognition as they received votes in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association rankings.

The Miners received four votes in the poll released on Monday as S&T has opened its fourth season of competition with a 5-2 record.  S&T's start has included a road win over McKendree, who is ranked 13th this week and was the first ranked team the Miners have defeated in their history and another road win over Purdue Fort Wayne, who like S&T is receiving votes this week.

Missouri S&T will be back in action on Wednesday when it faces Park in Parkville, Mo.
