ROLLA, Mo. – Behind a career-high performance from Macy Marraccini (Broken Arrow, OK/Broken Arrow), Missouri S&T women's basketball pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Rockhurst 73-58 Thursday evening inside Gibson Arena.
Marraccini delivered a breakout performance, pouring in a career-high 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting, including six three-pointers, while adding eight rebounds to lead the Miners. She was especially dominant down the stretch, helping S&T outscore Rockhurst 27-14 in the final quarter to turn a tight contest into a decisive victory.
The game featured six ties and seven lead changes, with a score of 46-44 entering the fourth. Missouri S&T responded with its most efficient offensive frame of the night, shooting 69 percent from the field in the final 10 minutes while knocking down four three-pointers to secure the win.
Anna Finley (Owensville, MO/Owensville) added 15 points and six rebounds, while Morgan Luebbering (St. Thomas, MO/Fatima) provided a strong spark off the bench with a season high 16 points and five boards.
Norah Gum (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo) chipped in eight points and seven rebounds as the Miners controlled the glass, outrebounding Rockhurst 52-32.
As a team, S&T shot 40.4 percent from the field and 47.6 percent from beyond the arc, while converting 17 free throws in the win.
With the victory, Missouri S&T improves to 10-13 overall and 6-11 in GLVC play.

The Miners return to action Saturday at 1 p.m. when they host Southwest Baptist inside Gibson Arena.
