ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T women's basketball returns to Gibson Arena this week for a pair of Great Lakes Valley Conference home contests, hosting Rockhurst on Thursday, February 19 at 5:30 p.m. for Greek Night before welcoming Southwest Baptist on Saturday, February 21 at 1 p.m. for Military Appreciation Day.
The Miners enter the week 9-13 overall and 5-11 in GLVC play and are coming off a strong road win at William Jewell. With four games remaining in the regular season, Missouri S&T will look to defend its home court and build momentum heading into the final stretch.
About the Miners
Missouri S&T is averaging 65.9 points per game while holding opponents to 61.6 points per contest, good for a +4.2 scoring margin. The Miners have been dominant on the glass, outrebounding opponents 42.0 to 35.1 per game, a +6.9 margin. S&T is shooting 40.3% from the field this season and averaging 14.5 made free throws per game, a key component of their offensive production.
Norah Gum (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo) leads the Miners with 13.2 points per game and 5.7 rebounds while shooting 42.1% from the floor.
Ava McCulla (St. Louis, MO/Parkway South) anchors the interior with 8.5 points and a team-high 6.3 rebounds per game, while
Anna Finley (Owensville, MO/Owensville) adds 9.0 points per contest. Missouri S&T has also received strong contributions from
Macy Marraccini (Broken Arrow, OK/Broken Arrow), who averages 6.4 points and 4.3 rebounds, helping provide balance across the lineup.
About the Hawks
Rockhurst enters Thursday's matchup 7–15 overall and 3–13 in GLVC play. The Hawks average 59.1 points per game while allowing 67.7 and shoot 35.1% from the field as a team. They average 6.0 three-pointers per contest but have struggled on the glass, being outrebounded by 14.2 boards per game.
Macie Conway leads Rockhurst at 12.0 points per game, followed closely by Tori Miller at 11.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest. The Hawks rely on perimeter shooting and guard play to generate offense.
About the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist enters Thursday's matchup 7–15 overall and 4-12 in GLVC play. The Bearcats are averaging 64.3 points per game while allowing 66.9 and shoot 40.0% from the field as a team.
Natalia Crooke leads Southwest Baptist with 11.5 points per game, while Kamiyah Hurd adds 11.3 points and a team-best 7.6 rebounds per contest. The Bearcats rely on balanced scoring and perimeter shooting, averaging 6.1 three-pointers per game.
What's Next
The Miners remain at home next week to close out the regular season, hosting Lincoln on Thursday, February 26 before celebrating Senior Day on Saturday, February 28 against Drury at Gibson Arena.
