KIRKSVILLE, MO & LIBERTY, MO -- Missouri S&T Men's Basketball are competing in their final two road games of the 2025-26 regular season with trips to Truman State and William Jewell this week, beginning with the Bulldogs today.
About the Miners
S&T is 17-4 and has claimed four consecutive wins, all in dominant fashion. The Miners have led for 140 of their last 160 minutes of game time, defeating the last four opponents by a combined margin of victory of 19.5 points.
Cameron Stovall (St. Louis, MO/Vashon) had a legendary performance against Illinois Springfield on Tuesday, scoring 42 points to help the Miners defeat UIS 88-67. His 42 points are the second-most by a Miner in a game in school history, behind only Curtis Gibson's 43 in 1983. Beauchamp leads S&T in scoring for conference contests, averaging 17.4 points per game and ranking second in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) for three-point percentage at 44.6%.
About the Bulldogs
Truman State is 9-13 this season with a 6-8 GLVC record that has them 10th in the standings. The Bulldogs have lost three of their last four, falling to Drury, Rockhurst and William Jewell in the last two weeks. The Miners defeated Truman State in a home game earlier this year in an 83-75 win.
Julian Love is Truman's leading scorer in conference games, averaging 14.5 points per game. Big man Emmanuel Byrd ranks 5th in blocks per game (1.1) and 6th in rebounds per game (8.4).
About the Cardinals
William Jewell fell to S&T 72-69 in early January but have won 9 games since then, winning eight in a row before dropping a game against Rockhurst last week. Their most recent victory came on Saturday against Southwest Baptist, defeating the Bearcats 77-66 in overtime. They are 10-4 in conference games and are only one game back off the conference leaders.
Jewell is the top three-point shooting team in the conference with a 39.3% from long range. Ashton Jermain and Isaac Patterson have been the Cardinals' two best from long range, hitting 43.3% and 42.6%, respectively. Redshirt Sophomore Justice Sutton leads Jewell in scoring for conference games, averaging 19.6 points per contest and ranking third in the GLVC. Kanukayi Gudza leads the conference in assist/turnover ratio, recording 48 assists to just 18 turnovers.
What's Next
The Miners host Rockhurst for Greek Night on February 19th, followed by Southwest Baptist for Military Appreciation Day on February 21st.
