ROLLA, Mo. — Missouri S&T women's soccer is ranked 10th in the Midwest Region in the NCAA Power Index (NPI) as the Miners look to continue a five-game winning streak.
The NCAA Power Index is a ranking system used in Division II and Division III to evaluate team performance. The system considers game results and the strength of opponents to calculate each team's NPI value and ranking.
S&T improved to 9-3-2 overall and 8-2-2 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play following a 1-0 road victory over Truman State on Oct. 14. The win extended the Miners' winning streak to five games and secured a spot in the GLVC Tournament.
During the winning streak, the Miners have recorded victories over Indianapolis, McKendree, Lewis, and Truman State, along with a win over Drury to begin the stretch. S&T has scored 15 goals across those five games while allowing just five, including a 6-0 shutout of Indianapolis.
