Softball Tabbed Seventh in 2026 GLVC Preseason Poll

1/28/2026 1:00:00 PM

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Missouri S&T softball was picked seventh out of 15 teams in the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office. The Miners totaled 107 points in the annual poll voted on by the league's head coaches.

Missouri S&T enters the 2026 season after finishing the 2025 campaign with a 19–34 overall record and a 14–14 mark in GLVC play. The Miners advanced to the third day of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament, highlighted by wins over Lewis and McKendree, as the program continued to show growth late in the season.

"We are really excited to get back on the field this spring," said head coach Summer Anagnostopoulos. "We have a great group of people who have been working extremely hard this offseason. Returning so many experienced players has been invaluable for our newcomers and for the goals we've set as a team. This group is hungry and ready to begin what we know will be a great season. Preseason polls don't determine how a season unfolds, and I think people will be shocked by the changes this program has made. We're eager to get on the field and show the hard work our program has put in."
