INDIANAPOLIS, IN & ROMEOVILLE, IL -- Missouri S&T Men's Basketball will look to bounce back from Thursday night's loss against RV McKendree with trips to Indianapolis on Thursday and Lewis on Saturday.
About the Miners
S&T now sits at 13-3 on the season and 7-2 against Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) opponents. They rank top five in the conference in six key categories, including second in blocks per game with 3.78.
Andrew Young (Ballwin, MO/Marquette),
Cameron Stovall (St. Louis, MO/Vashon), and
Zac Brown (Collinsville, OK/Collinsville) all rank in the top 12 for blocks per game, with Young's 1.7 placing him second in the conference.
Blaise Beauchamp (Minnetonka, MN/Hopkins) has become one of the top scorers (4th) in the GLVC since conference play began, averaging 19.2 points per game and scoring 19 or more in his last five games. He has hit 16 three-pointers in the last four games, more than anyone else in the conference during that stretch.
Adam Rickman (Washington, MO/St. Francis Borgia) has moved up to #2 in the conference for steals per game, now averaging 2.7 after a career-high 6 against RV McKendree.
About the Greyhounds
Indianapolis split last week's games, defeating Southwest Baptist 78-71 before falling to Drury 107-89. The Greyhounds are just under .500 with a 9-10 record but are seventh in the conference standings with a 7-4 GLVC record.
UIndy is fourth in the GLVC for three-point percentage, boasting three of the top eight three-pointer shooters in the conference in Tyler Parrish, Nathan Dudukovich and Carmelo Harris. Harris is the team's leader in scoring, averaging 18.6 points per game that ranks him 6th in the conference. The Greyhounds also have two of the top five rebounders in the conference, with Kelvin Amoako ranking 4th in rebounds per game while Shaun Arnold ranks 5th.
About the Flyers
Lewis is on a five-game losing streak that started back on January 10th, most recently falling to Southwest Baptist 82-48. They are 4-14 overall this season and 2-8 in conference. They are averaging the fewest points per game in the conference against GLVC opponents, putting up 60 per contest. Their one strength this year has been in blocks, with the team ranking third in the conference with an average of 3.1 blocks per game.
Arius Alijosius is the Flyers' leading scorer with 18.7 points per game, as well as shooting a team-high 44.6% from the three. Cale Cosme has been one of their top performers as well, ranking T-11th in the conference for assists (3.3 per game) and 14th in steals (1.5 per game).

S&T will host Upper Iowa next Thursday for Whiteout, followed by Quincy on Saturday for Faculty & Staff Appreciation day.
