Meyer, Edmonds Earn GLVC Weekly Honors After Record-Setting Win

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Missouri S&T's Nate Meyer (Arlington Heights, Ill./Hersey) and Grant Edmonds (Huntington Beach, CA/Edison) have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Players of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Meyer earned Offensive Player of the Week, while Edmonds was tabbed Setter of the Week, marking the second consecutive week that both Miners have claimed GLVC weekly honors. The recognition also comes in just the second week of the GLVC Inaugural season.

Offensive Player of the Week – Nate Meyer (Arlington Heights, Ill./Hersey)
Meyer delivered a dominant offensive performance in Missouri S&T's five-set victory over St. Thomas Aquinas, recording 21 kills with just three errors on 39 attempts for a .462 hitting percentage. He led the Miners in kills (21), hitting percentage (.462), and points (24).

The senior outside hitter posted his best set in the second, tallying eight kills with one error on 10 swings, helping swing momentum in S&T's favor. Meyer also contributed across all phases with one service ace, one assist, six digs, and four blocks, while committing zero reception errors on a team-high 17 serve receives.

Setter of the Week – Grant Edmonds (Huntington Beach, CA/Edison)
Edmonds guided the Miners' offense with a record-setting performance, dishing out 58 assists to break his own program record for most assists in a five-set match.

The junior setter recorded his second consecutive double-double, adding 13 digs, and also posted four blocks, including the Miners' only solo block of the match. His all-around effort helped keep the S&T offense in rhythm throughout the contest.

Together, Meyer and Edmonds helped Missouri S&T earn its fourth straight victory, extending the Miners' winning streak and marking the best start to a season in program history.
