ROLLA, Mo. -- Missouri S&T women's soccer is set to continue Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play this weekend as the Miners host Missouri-St. Louis on Friday, September 26, at 5 p.m., and Maryville on Sunday, September 28, at noon at Allgood Bailey Stadium.

About the Miners
S&T returns home at 1-1 in GLVC play and 3-2 overall after splitting its opening conference weekend. The Miners opened league action with a 1-0 win at Lincoln before falling to Drury in their home opener.

Nathalie Bello (Hattiesburg, MS/Sacred Heart) provided the game-winner at Lincoln in the 84th minute, while goalkeeper Madeline Falls (Gilbert, AZ/Benjamin Franklin Charter) recorded her first shutout of the season with three saves. Adriana Benassi (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit) continues to lead the attack with a team-high four goals and currently ranks fourth in the GLVC in goals, averaging 0.80 goals per game. Brooke Bendoff (Kirkwood, MO/Kirkwood) has added three assists, placing her third in the league in that category. As a team, S&T has generated nearly twice as many chances as its opponents and sits atop the conference in goals and shots while ranking second in assists.

The Tritons are led offensively by Kennedi Cooks, who has scored twice this season, while seven other UMSL players have contributed one goal apiece. In last year's meeting, the Miners battled the Tritons to a 1-1 draw, with Bendoff scoring a goal to equalize the match.
