ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T volleyball saw two players earn early-season recognition, as Elise Mehaffy (Marion, IA/Marion) was named to the Hampton Inn Invitational All-Tournament Team and Danielle Wilke (Palmer Lake, CO/Palmer Ridge) was selected to the UCM Challenge All-Tournament Team.

Mehaffy directed the Miners' offense with consistency throughout the Hampton Inn Invitational in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She totaled 129 assists, 36 digs, and seven block assists over four matches, highlighted by a 46-assist, 13-dig double-double in a five-set battle with Wisconsin-Parkside. She also added 39 assists in a sweep of Roosevelt and hit .667 against Winona State.

The following week in Warrensburg, Wilke provided the offensive spark for S&T at the UCM Challenge, finishing with 25 kills, four digs, and five block assists. She tallied 10 kills against Central Missouri, added nine more versus Ouachita Baptist, and chipped in six against Washburn. Wilke capped the tournament with a standout performance against Central Missouri, hitting .471 with 10 kills and just two errors on 17 swings.

The Miners hit the road this weekend to open Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play against Upper Iowa and Truman State.
