KENOSHA, Wis. – Women's volleyball battled through a hard-fought day, falling to Winona State in three sets and UW-Parkside in five, to close out the Hampton Inn Invitational.
Warriors 3, Miners 0

In the second, Elise Mehaffy (Marion, IA/Marion) kept the offense balanced, finishing the match with 25 assists and a .667 hitting percentage on her own attempts. Schoenberger continued her strong play with several key points, including two service aces, while Kosmopolis added to her team-high eight kills. Despite those efforts, the Miners were edged 25-17.
The third set featured another fight from S&T, with Reese Massey (Kansas City, MO/Staley) and Mya McClain (Fort Dodge, IA/St. Edmond) anchoring the defense with nine digs each, keeping rallies alive and giving the attack more opportunities. Schoenberger added to her seven-kill total, but the Miners came up short 25-15 to close the match.
Rangers 3, Miners 2
The Miners started strong with a .324 hitting percentage in the opening frame, led by Elly Decker's (Manhattan, IL/Lincoln Way West) powerful swings on her way to a career-high 19 kills and 15 digs, earning her third double-double of the season. Addie Schoenberger (Menomonee Falls, WI/Hamilton Sussex) added to the momentum with timely points, guiding S&T to a 25-20 first-set win.
