Coach Thompson Brings in 5 for 2026

7/22/2025 10:15:00 AM

ROLLA, MO  --  Head Men's Volleyball Coach Ryan Thompson has recruited five new athletes for the 2026 season, bringing in two hitters, two setters, and a libero.

Cole Hoehn | Parkway Central High School | Outside Hitter/Opposite | 6'2"

"Cole is someone that will be able to add depth to both the left and right side for us. He's got a pretty big arm that is going to help raise the level of our gym right away. He is relatively new to playing on the left side, but made huge strides this past club season."   — Coach Thompson

Spencer Duvall | Parkway Central High School | Setter | 6'3"

"Spencer has good size and physicality for a setter. We identified him at our camp last summer, and while he is skilled now, I believe that he still has a very high ceiling in his setting potential. We are looking forward to having him in our gym for 4 years." — Coach Thompson

Harris Robinson | St. Francis Borgia High School | Setter | 6'0"

"Harris is another kid that we had at camp for two years. He is a very high-energy kid that will bring a strong competitiveness to our gym. He is a skilled setter, and is also a great defender for his position." — Coach Thompson

Brendan Laury | Rockwood Summit High School | Libero | 6'0"

"Brendan is someone that has been on our radar for a couple of years from camp, and we are excited that he is going to be a Miner for the next 4 years. Brendan is a strong passer and an even better defender. He reads the game very well, and will help to raise our defensive level immediately." — Coach Thompson

Aris Maurukas | Benet Academy | Outside Hitter | 6'0"

"Aris is a good all-around volleyball player, with a high volleyball IQ. Although he is a little bit undersized, he has all of the tools to help make him an effective outside at the next level. His ball control will also be a strong addition to our gym." — Coach Thompson

"I am excited to have this group join us this Fall," Coach Thompson said, "They will all help raise the level of our gym in one way or another, and will be key pieces as we look to the future of Missouri S&T Men's Volleyball."
