ROLLA, MO  –  Missouri S&T's men's basketball program has earned the Team Academic Excellence Award from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for the 2024–25 season. Individually, Andrew Young (Ballwin, MO/Marquette) was recognized for academic achievement, earning a spot on the NABC Honors Court with a cumulative GPA of 3.64.

The Miners posted a 3.46 team GPA this season, surpassing the 3.0 requirement for the Team Academic Excellence Award by a wide margin. This marks the second time in the last three seasons that S&T has received the honor. Missouri S&T was one of 391 teams recognized in this year's release.

Young received Honors Court recognition in his first year of eligibility. To qualify, student-athletes must be juniors, seniors, or graduate students with a cumulative GPA above 3.2.
