ROLLA, MO -- The Missouri S&T Men's Basketball team is adding four student-athletes to the program this year, with two transfers and two true freshman joining the squad for the 2025-26 season.
Darron "Boodah" Henry | Guard | Long Beach, CA
Junior transfer Darron "Boodah" Henry, a 5'10" guard, joins the Miners after a breakout season at JUCO Cerritos College. During the 2024–25 campaign, Henry played in 32 games and averaged 14.4 points per game, helping the Falcons capture the South Coast Conference (SCC) title. He earned First Team All-State honors, NABC CCCAA All-America recognition, and First Team All-SCC.
"Boodah is a strong and aggressive playmaker who can defend 94 feet," said Head Coach
Bill Walker. "He can do everything a team needs to win. We can't wait to see him in a Miner uniform."
DJ Johnson | Forward | St. Louis, MO
A true freshman, Johnson is a product of John Burroughs School in St. Louis, where he was a dual-sport athlete in football and basketball. Much like his time playing both wide receiver and defensive back for the Bombers, Johnson will be able to contribute on both ends of the court for the Miners. He averaged 7.2 points per game in his senior season and set a personal best with six blocks in a single game as a junior.
"As a former dual-sport athlete with length, DJ brings a unique skill set to our program," said Coach Walker. "His rapid development has been impressive, and we're eager to see his growth continue here at S&T."
Oliver Kokal | Forward | Chesterfield, MO
Standing at 6'7", forward Oliver Kokal joins the Miners after redshirting last season at Division I University of South Dakota. A graduate of Parkway Central in Chesterfield, Kokal was a three-time Scholar-Athlete and finished his high school career with 1,186 points and 519 rebounds—ranking seventh and fifth all-time in school history, respectively.
"Kokal is a well-rounded player with the ability to score both inside and outside," said Coach Walker. "He's added a lot of strength since high school, and we're looking forward to seeing how his game continues to evolve within our system."
Zach Mazanowski | Forward | Chicago, IL
A 6'8" true freshman from Lane Tech, Mazanowski played in 32 games during his senior season, averaging 11.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. He earned seven MaxPreps Player of the Game awards, including one for a 29-point performance against Kenwood, where he shot 56% from the field and went 4-of-8 from three.
"Zach is a versatile and athletic player with a great blend of size and skill," said Coach Walker. "He comes from a highly competitive high school league—he's battle-tested and ready to make an impact when he steps foot in Gibson."
