Five Baseball Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Baseball received five honorees on the CSC Academic All-District team on Tuesday.

Dylan Bates (O'Fallon, MO/Fort Zumwalt West) was named to the CSC Academic All-District team for leading the Miners in 2025 with his 3.88 ERA. He made 14 appearances this season, including his scoreless outing against Maryville in the GLVC Championship. Bates was named to the GLVC All-Tournament team after his performance against Maryville.

Drew Baugus (Kirkwood, MO/Kirkwood) earned a spot on the team following a record-breaking 2025 season. He led the team with his .393 batting average in 51 games. He recorded 57 total hits, 10 doubles, two home runs and 27 RBI. On the bases, Baugus stole 38 bags this season, the most in a single season in Missouri S&T history. Baugus was named to the GLVC All-Tournament team and the All-GLVC Second Team. He also earned ABCA/Rawlings Midwest All-Region Second Team honors. Baugus was nominated CSC Academic All-America honors. That ballot will be voted on by CSC members and announced on July 1.

Will Beckham (Mountain Home, AR/Mountain Home) also was named to the team after his first season with the Miners. Beckham recorded a .371 batting average and a team-leading 1.080 OPS. He totaled 56 hits, seven doubles, three triples, seven home runs and 37 RBI. Beckham carried an 11-game hitting streak from Mar. 28-Apr. 12 this season. Beckham earned All-GLVC First Team honors this season for the Miners. He was also nominated for CSC Academic All-America honors for his performance this season.

Garrett Meyer (Jacksonville, IL/Jacksonville) earned his spot on the CSC Academic All-District team in his first season for Missouri S&T. He hit for .314 this season in all 57 games started. He recorded 207 total at-bats with 65 hits, 17 doubles, four homers and 52 RBI. Meyer broke the single season record for runs scored this season with 65. He also took 36 walks with only 28 strikeouts in 2025. On the mound, Meyer recorded a 2.57 ERA in five appearances this season. He earned his first win of the season in S&T's win over Maryville in the GLVC Tournament. Meyer was awarded All-GLVC Tournament team honors and was an All-GLVC Honorable Mention.

Lastly, Jake Schisler (Quincy, IL/Quincy Notre Dame) was named to the CSC Academic All-District team this season. Schisler made 13 starts with 14 total appearances in 2025. He recorded a 6-5 recorded with his 4.76 ERA. His 73 2/3 innings pitched this season led the team. Back on Mar. 2, Schisler pitched seven scoreless innings with six strikeouts in S&T's 8-0 win over Truman. He also started S&T's 12-inning 6-4 win against Missouri-St. Louis, where he struck out five batters with only one run given up in 4 1/3 innings. In the GLVC postseason honors, Schisler recorded All-GLVC Second Team honors.

All five of these student-athletes played vital roles in the Miners first GLVC Championship this season.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
