NORMAN, Okla. – Connor Benjamin (Nelson Bay, Australia/St. Philip's Christian College) has been awarded PING All-America Honorable Mention honors, the GCAA announced on Thursday.
Connor Benjamin (Nelson Bay, Australia/St. Philip's Christian College) had a historic 2024-25 season for the Miners. He ended his senior campaign with a scoring average of 71.3 after he picked up one win and three top three performances. Benjamin ended the season ranked #45 in the nation and #3 in the Midwest according to Scoreboard.
His best performance of the season came on Mar. 24-25 at the Findlay Spring Invitational. He finished in first place with a score of 198 (-18), the best 54-hole total in Missouri S&T history. At the GLVC Championship, Benjamin won both of his matches in match play to help guide the Miners to their first GLVC Championship in program history.
Benjamin won All-GLVC honors this season for Missouri S&T. He was also nominated for CSC Academic All-District honors, with the CSC Academic All-America awards released in July.
He becomes just the third golfer in S&T history to be awarded PING All-America honors. The other golfers were
Carl Miltun (Gilbert, AZ/Williams Field) on the second team and Gustav Liljedahl as an honorable mention, both in the 2022-23 season.
