ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Baseball will face Maryville on Thursday morning at 9 a.m. in the first elimination game of the GLVC Tournament.

Series History

S&T leads the all-time series 38-27 over Maryville dating back to 1977. Before their series this season, the Miners had lost eight of their previous nine matchups against Maryville. In their series back on Mar. 14-16, the Miners won 3-1 in a four-game set. The highlight game was the first doubleheader on Mar. 16, where the Miners scored 16 runs in the fourth inning to win 17-11.

In their postseason matchup history, Maryville has defeated S&T twice in elimination games. Maryville beat Missouri S&T 6-4 in a thrilling 13-inning game on May 9, 2013. On May 10, 2019, the Saints won 9-4 over the Miners.

Maryville goes into this game with a 29-21 record with a 21-10 record in the GLVC. They finished the regular season in third place. They are coming off a 7-3 loss to #6 Quincy on Wednesday afternoon. In that game, Ambrose Russo homered and Jace Burton tallied three hits.

Garrett Meyer (Jacksonville, IL/Jacksonville) and Ethan Morrow (Lenexa, KS/Shawnee Mission West) were both picked as All-GLVC Honorable Mentions.
