NORMAN, Okla. – Connor Benjamin (Nelson Bay, Australia/St. Philip's Christian College) and Cole Komyati (Elberta, AL/Bayside Academy) have both been named to the PING Midwest All-Region Team, the GCAA announced on Wednesday.

Connor Benjamin (Nelson Bay, Australia/St. Philip's Christian College) has been one of the best players in the Midwest region for the entire 2024-25 season. He has been ranked as high as #24 in the nation on Mar. 26 according to the Scoreboard rankings. His best performance of the season came at the Findlay Spring Invite, where he shot a -18 overall, the best mark in Missouri S&T history. That was his first win of the season. He also won both rounds of GLVC match play against the #1 and #2 players in stroke play.

Cole Komyati (Elberta, AL/Bayside Academy) was also named to the PING Midwest All-Region Team. As of May 11, he is #5 in the Midwest region Scoreboard rankings. Komyati has picked up six top three finishes this season, including third place in the GLVC Championship. Since the Bill Crabtree Invitational last October, Komyati has four third place finishes and two second place finishes. He placed 10^th at the NCAA DII Midwest/Central Super Regional. He is currently #68 in the nation.

Other GLVC representatives in the Midwest region include UMSL's Logan Mayo, William Jewell's Bryson Oots and UIndy's Cameron Young. The GLVC had five players make the All-Region Team, while the GLIAC had five and the G-MAC had two players.

What's Next

The Miners will be at the NCAA DII Championship next week from May 19-23. The Championship will be played at the PGA National – Champions Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
