Miners to Host Lincoln in Regular Season Finale

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Baseball is set to conclude the 2025 regular season against Lincoln this weekend, with Senior Day on Saturday.

Series History

These two teams have a rich history in their all-time matchup when they were both in the MIAA. S&T is 57-39-1 against Lincoln dating back to 1971. This is their first matchup since the 2016 season as the Miners have won seven straight games against the Blue Tigers. Missouri S&T head coach Todd DeGraffenreid graduated from Lincoln in 2000.

About the Blue Tigers

Lincoln restarted their program this season after it was disbanded following the 2016 season. In their first season in the GLVC, Lincoln is 5-39 overall and 3-25 in the GLVC. They are coming off a 3-1 series loss at Truman last weekend. In their 4-2 win in game three, Miguel Pardon blasted a home run and Ed Noy earned the win.

Pardon leads the Blue Tigers with his .313 batting average, .578 slugging percentage and 10 home runs. He also has nine doubles with 30 RBI. Noy leads the starters with his 8.23 ERA. Lincoln ranks last in both batting average and ERA in the GLVC this season. They were picked to finish in last place in the GLVC.

About the Miners

Missouri S&T is 24-21 this season with a 14-14 record in the GLVC. They lost a four-game series at Upper Iowa last weekend with one win on Saturday. In that 8-6 win, S&T picked up five extra-base hits and eight stolen bases. The Miners have a chance to clinch a spot in the GLVC Tournament this weekend with three wins. They are in seventh place in the conference going into the series.

Will Beckham (Mountain Home, AR/Mountain Home) leads the Miners with a .391 batting average and 1.178 OPS. In conference games, he is batting .435, tied for the second-best in the GLVC. Drew Baugus (Kirkwood, MO/Kirkwood) is 25-for-26 on the base paths this season, the fourth-best mark in the conference. Jake Schisler (Quincy, IL/Quincy Notre Dame) leads the team with his 3.86 ERA, the fourth-best ERA in the GLVC. Ethan Morrow (Lenexa, KS/Shawnee Mission West) has 52 strikeouts in 46 1/3 innings this season.

Saturday's contest against Lincoln is Senior Day at Missouri S&T. All 12 seniors will be honored 20 minutes before first pitch on Saturday.

What's Next

Should the Miners make it, the GLVC Tournament is scheduled for May 7-10 in Marion, Illinois. The tournament will take place at Mtn Dew Park.
