ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Baseball will stay on the road this week to play Upper Iowa in a four-game series.

Series History

All-time against the Peacocks, S&T is 13-1 and currently are on a 10-game winning streak. These two teams faced last season in Rolla as the Miners swept the Peacocks. They outscored Upper Iowa 34-12 in that series. These two teams have not faced each other in Fayette, Iowa, in their all-time series.

About the Peacocks

Upper Iowa is 18-24 this season and 12-16 in the GLVC for 11^th place in the conference. They are coming off a 7-5 win over Waldorf on Monday. Before that, they lost a four-game series to Missouri-St. Louis 3-1. In that 7-5 win over Waldorf, Bryce Hall drove in two runs with two doubles and JJ Vargas homered.

Brock Zimmer leads the Peacocks with a .352 batting average. Ethan Sawyer's 11 doubles lead the team. Their .301 team batting average ranks seventh in the conference, while their 8.01 ERA is 11^th. Upper Iowa was picked to finish 14^th in the GLVC Preseason Poll.

About the Miners

Missouri S&T goes into the series with a 23-18 record and 13-11 GLVC record. They are in sixth place in the GLVC behind Drury and ahead of Quincy. They are coming off a series split at Wisconsin-Parkside last weekend. They won both doubleheader games with scores of 7-5 and 5-4. Bode Gebbink (Saint Joseph, IL/Saint Joseph-Ogden) tallied two saves between both of those contests.

Will Beckham (Mountain Home, AR/Mountain Home) is sixth in the GLVC with his .408 batting average. In GLVC games, he is batting .516 to lead the conference. Jake Schisler's (Quincy, IL/Quincy Notre Dame) 3.61 ERA is second in the GLVC this season. As a team, S&T's .306 batting average is fourth in the GLVC, while their 5.16 ERA is first. On the bases, the Miners have stolen 92 bags this season, the second-most in the conference.

What's Next

Missouri S&T will return home to face Lincoln from May 1-3 to conclude the regular season. Should the Miners make it, the GLVC Tournament is scheduled for May 7-10 in Marion, Illinois.
